Paul John is an award-winning clinical pharmacist prescriber with over 15 years of experience in both community and NHS care. At Lotus Weight Loss Clinic, Paul brings deep expertise in managing long-term health conditions — particularly those where effective weight management plays a crucial role in reducing risk and improving outcomes.
He is best known nationally for his leadership in hepatology and blood-borne virus care, where he has helped thousands of patients across Wales access life-changing treatment. As All Wales Community Lead Pharmacist for Blood-Borne Viruses, Paul has played a pivotal role in the country’s successful campaign to eliminate hepatitis C, including outreach in prisons, GP surgeries, and substance misuse clinics. His work has been recognised with a BMJ Clinical Leadership Team Award.
Paul’s approach to weight care is shaped by his broader medical experience: he knows that managing weight is not just about appearance — it’s about preventing life-limiting conditions like fatty liver disease, cardiovascular complications, and type 2 diabetes.
