Please note: This switching method is considered off-label, meaning it has not been formally evaluated in clinical trials. However, real-world data and clinical experience indicate that many patients tolerate the transition well, with side effects generally limited to those commonly seen with GLP-1, such as nausea or constipation.

You should leave at least 7 days between your last Mounjaro dose and your first Wegovy dose. Your clinician may advise a longer gap depending on your dose and how well you tolerated treatment.
Not always. If you tolerated Mounjaro well, your clinician may recommend a higher starting Wegovy dose. If you experienced side effects, they may step you down.
No. The two drugs work differently and doses don’t directly match. Your clinician will guide you to an equivalent starting dose based on your history.
Most patients maintain progress. Some may notice changes in appetite or pace of weight loss, but support with diet, activity, and close monitoring helps keep you on track.
Side effects are usually similar to those experienced with Mounjaro, such as nausea, constipation or diarrhoea. Starting at the right dose helps improve tolerability.
If you inject a dose early, follow the guidance in your medication leaflet and contact your clinician if unsure. Do not take extra doses to ‘catch up.’
Yes, but only with clinician approval. Switching back and forth regularly isn’t recommended as it may affect tolerability and outcomes.
