You may be eligible to begin treatment if you’re aged 18–74 and have:

• A BMI of 30 or above; or
• A BMI of 27 or above with a weight-related health condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes or sleep apnoea.

Lower BMI thresholds may apply to people from certain ethnic backgrounds.

We also welcome patients joining us from other clinics. You may be eligible to continue or switch treatment with Lotus if your current BMI is 20 or above and you’ve used weight-loss medication within the last six months. We’ll ask for evidence of your previous treatment so our clinicians can assess the most appropriate next step.

We can prescribe treatment down to a BMI of 19, which is at the lower end of the healthy range. As long as your weight remains within a healthy range or you have reached your goal weight, your clinician will regularly review your progress with you.

If, after reviewing your progress together with your clinician, you feel that the benefits of continuing treatment outweigh any potential risks such as side effects, you may choose to continue using Mounjaro indefinitely as part of your long-term weight management plan.

Mounjaro® treatment follows a gradual dosing schedule to help your body adjust and minimise side effects.

Typical Dosage Schedule:

• Weeks 1–4: Start with 2.5 mg once weekly (this is the lowest dose).
• Every 4 weeks: If well tolerated, your dose may increase to 5 mg, then 7.5 mg, 10 mg, 12.5 mg, and finally up to a maximum of 15 mg.
